2024 Prayer

The Power of Prayer

We know that prayer is powerful, and we want to be a praying church. Throughout this coming year, we will have a special prayer focus for each month that we can pray about together.

For April, our prayer focus will be on Children and Youth. We pray for the next generation in our church to know and love Jesus so they can live like him. Here are specific things that you, your family, your BFG…and when we gather corporately…can pray for this month:

  • Pray that God would give them passion and a deep-seated purpose for living, no matter each person's circumstances.
  • Pray that God would give kids wisdom in choosing their friends, to bring people into their lives who will point them to Christ and that God will use students to encourage and build up each other like never before
  • Pray that they may experience an ongoing transformation by having their minds renewed and that they’ll be examples to the world in their speech, lives, love, faith, and purity.
  • Pray that God would give them a hunger for righteousness and protect them from the enemy’s lies about self, identity, morality, value, and priorities.
  • Pray for their future. In the uncertainty of life, thank God for good plans for our children.
  • Pray for their education so they will grow in intrigue, wonder about God's created world around them, and develop a genuine love of learning.
  • Pray for Gospel conversations for families and our church family as we minister to children and youth.
  • Pray for their hearts that they find joy and fulfillment in Christ and do not seek to fill them with temporary and destructive thoughts and ideas.

Our hope is for you to pray for 2-3 specific items each day. As you see God working and answering these prayers, we would love to hear about it.

Use the form below to share stories of God answering your prayers or ways we, as a church, can pray for you.
